While Daredevil is blind, the combination of his remaining four senses (hearing, smell, touch, and taste) perform with superhuman sharpness. Daredevil also possesses a “radar sense” — alternately explained to be either a direct result of his contact with radioactive waste as a boy, or simply the effect of the combination of his four enhanced senses — that allows him to “see” the world around him by means of a sort of echo-location.
